Round 21: Deciding games for top 8 position…

We start Round 21 in Canberra where the GWS Giants take on Hawthorn.  The Hawks are struggling to put 4 quarters together consistently at the back end of the season, and are 1 loss away from officially being out of the finals race. I think the Giants will confirm that this Friday night, GWS by 30 plus points.

5 Games on Super Saturday starting at the MCG with the struggling Demons, they take on Collingwood who still have their injury concerns leading into the finals. Collingwood by 21 points.

Port Adelaide bounced back to form last week and take on Sydney at Adelaide Oval. If the Power can consistently play like they demonstrated last weekend against Essendon, then they can shake this year’s finals series!! Power to win by 27 points.

The Brisbane Lions amazing season continues and they take on the lowly Gold Coast Suns at the GABBA, expect the Lions to continue their winning way. Brisbane by 30 plus points.

Essendon who were disappointing last week take on the Bulldogs at MRVL Stadium.  Both these teams are in for a fight to play finals this year so expect a very physical game, and with the Bombers missing Saad and Heppell, I’m tipping the Bulldogs to win by 16 points.

Geelongs form in the last month must be very concerning for Chris Scott and his team. They take on the Kangaroo’s who are currently a very dangerous side to be playing, I’m going to tip Geelong to bounce back on their home ground. Cats by 17 points.

3 games on Sunday to finish the round and it starts with St Kilda taking on the Fremantle Dockers at MRVL Stadium. Freo were very impressive last week and it’s a question of can they produce that same performance again?? I think they can and will, so Fremantle to win in a close game by 11 points.

Richmond take on Carlton at the MCG and whilst the Blues have been really impressive in the last 6 weeks, they are playing the Tigers on the G! Tigers to win by 24 points.

Last game of the round and it’s the West Coast Eagles taking on Adelaide at Optus Stadium.  An important game for both sides to hold their positions in the top 8. Not sure if the Adelaide camp is a happy one currently and with a lot of senior players being dropped recently, the Crows have struggled at times to settle a side whereas the Eagles look to be finding their best form at the right time of the season. Eagles to win by 22 points.

Have a great Weekend and enjoy the footy.
Jako.
