Round 2 of the 2018 AFL Season

We start Round 2 of the AFL Season with much excitement if Round 1 was any indicator of the season ahead.

Another Thursday night game and it’s the Grand Final Replay in Adelaide where the Crows host the Tigers. Adelaide have a few injuries however I feel this is a game that’s worth more than the 4 points on offer it’s a chance for a bit of redemption from last years poor performance in the Grand Final.

I’m tipping Adelaide at home but only just.

Good Friday footy and North Melbourne take on the Saint’s at Etihad stadium and the saints have to many avenue’s to goal so St’ Kilda to win.

Carlton host the Gold Coast Suns also at Etihad Stadium and I liked the new look Carlton forward line so the Blues at home for this game.

Collingwood take on the Powerful GWS Giants at the MCG and I was really disappointed of what I seen last week with the Pies and against this Giants outfit this could be a belting. Giants to win comfortably.

Brisbane who showed something with their young players last week take on Melbourne at the GABBA and the Demon’s wouldn’t want to take the Lions lightly however I have Melbourne making the 8 and they need to win games like this away. Melbourne by 18 points.

Fremantle take on Essendon at the new Perth Optus Stadium and once again the Dockers lack scoring power only 60 points last week with poor skill level during the game against the Power. Essendon to win this game.

The Western Bulldogs host the Eagles at Etihad Stadium and after last week’s belting in the hands of the Giants then expect a fired up Bulldogs outfit however I’m tipping the Eagles because they are a much better side with Nic Nat playing and he didn’t disappoint last week after 19 months on the side lines. West Coast by 15 points.

Sydney take on Port Adelaide at the SCG and the Power minus Patrick Ryder which is a massive loss and with Buddy in the form he’s in then hard to tip against the Swans at home. Sydney by 25 points.

Last game of the round is on the traditional Easter Monday against 2 great rivals Geelong V Hawthorn at the MCG in front of 70,000 plus people. Both had a great win 1st up and with Dangerfield back then hard to see the Hawks stopping the Cats.
Geelong in another thriller.

Happy Easter and have a great long weekend and great that footy is back.

Regards
Jako.
