Round 19: Some big games this weekend

Round 19 starts this Friday night in a Blockbuster at the MCG with Collingwood taking on the Tigers in what could shape the top 4 with 5 games to go. Collingwood have been struggling to kick a winning score in the last month and with Lynch and Riewoldt in form for the Tigers, I’m tipping Richmond to win by 17 points.
5 games on Super Saturday and we start in Tasmania in another crucial game with Hawthorn taking on the very impressive Brisbane Lions. This will be a great game as recently both teams are playing really good football, however being down in Tasmania where the Hawks have a very good record it would be hard to tip against them. Hawks by 19 points.
Carlton takes on the Adelaide Crows at the MCG in what is a season defining game for the Crows as they just hang inside the top 8. Adelaide have the better side and if their attitude is on then the crows should win this game. Adelaide by 4 goals.
Over to Perth and the West Coast Eagles who have been hit with a few injuries take on the much improved and tough Kangaroo’s in what will be a very physical contest. The Eagles are grinding out win’s whilst not playing their best brand of football. Will be close but I think the Eagles will win at home by 14 points.
St’ Kilda take on Melbourne at MRVL Stadium and whilst the Saints had a spirited win last week with new care taker coach Brett Ratten, I feel Melbourne’s Midfield is still better and I really like Bayley Fritsch up forward who kicked 4 goals last week. Melbourne to win in a scrappy game by 21 points.
Port Adelaide take on the GWS Giants at Adelaide Oval and Port are really struggling with form and injuries recently and the Giants big win against Collingwood last week is very hard to ignore, so I’m tipping the Giants to win this game by 27 points.
3 games on Sunday to complete round 19 and it’s the Western Bulldogs taking on Fremantle at MRVL Stadium. The Bulldogs were very disappointing last week and the Dockers are not going to win too many games by kicking 7 goals a game. Being in Melbourne this game, I’m tipping the Bulldogs to bounce back to win by 30 plus points.
Sydney take on Geelong who have hit a bit of a form slump in recent weeks, however this is the game I can see their midfield bouncing back and with that potent forward line led by Tom Hawkins it should get them back on the winners list. Cats by 22 points.
Last game of the round and we go up to the Gold Coast where the Suns take on Essendon and these are the games the Bombers need to win and win well if they are going to play finals this season!! Essendon by 30 plus points.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the footy.
