Round 17: Grand final replay

Friday night footy and we start Round 17 in Perth at Optus Stadium in the second clash of the Grand Final replay. The Eagles, coming off a big Derby win take on the Pies who have been struggling in recent weeks.  However, I think Nathan Buckley will change a few tactics this week by releasing his players to play free flowing attacking footy, so expect this game to be a lot closer than what people may think. West Coast to win by 8 points.
5 games on Super Saturday and we start up at the SCG with the Sydney Swans taking on Carlton.  I’m tipping the home side to get the job done! Swans by 28 points.
Hawthorn take on Fremantle down in Tasmania and the Hawks have slowly turned their season around in recent weeks.  They have a very good record at this venue, so Hawks to win by 21 points.
Essendon who have climbed into the Top 8 take on one of the form sides of the competition in North Melbourne in what will be a cracking game to watch. I’ll stick with the Kangaroo’s winning ways by 17 points.
The Gold Coast Suns take on the Adelaide Crows up at Metricon Stadium, the Suns are now really struggling to play anywhere near the form they displayed at the start of the year, so Adelaide to win by 25 points.
Geelong who have stumbled in recent weeks take on the struggling Saints at GMHBA Stadium, the Cats don’t lose too many games on this ground so Cats to bounce back and win by 30 plus points.
3 games on Sunday and the Tigers who have surged up the ladder in recent weeks take on the GWS Giants at the MCG.  The Tigers are starting to get their key players back and have played some very good football in recent weeks, Richmond to win at home by 21 points.
The Western Bulldogs have beaten 2 quality sides in recent weeks and take on Melbourne at MRVL Stadium.  I’m really impressed how the Bulldogs form has improved in the back half of the season and are making a solid charge towards September. Bulldogs to win by 24 points.
Last game of the Round and it’s Port Adelaide taking on the Brisbane Lions at Adelaide Oval.  The Power showed last week why they can contend for finals action, so I’m tipping them to win 2 in a row and start to show some consistency. Power by 18 points.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the footy.
