Round 23 of the 2018 AFL Season

Well hasn’t the season flown past quickly, Round 23 is upon us!, There has been a lot of highs, lows, controversys, drama and a whole lot more, however we all love our footy.

Friday night footy and it starts in Adelaide with the disappointing Port Power taking on the Bombers. We will farewell Brendon Goddard, a champion of the game who’s playing his last game before retiring.
Port Adelaide with the home game will want to win this match to finish off whats been a disappointing season, so I’m tipping Port to win by 17 points.

Carlton take on the Adelaide Crows at Etihad Stadium, and whilst I think Carlton will take it up to the Crows I feel Adelaide’s all round talent should win this game by 25 points.

Geelong take on the Gold Coast Suns at home and this could be another Blood Bath. The Suns really don’t have much to play for and lack any real spirit, so I’m tipping the Cats by 50 plus points.

The Flag favourites Richmond are again home at the MCG. The Western Bulldogs have won their last 3 games and are finishing the year off strongly, however they are up against the Tigers, so Richmond to win by 28 points.

Match of the round and it’s Sydney taking on Hawthorn up at the SCG and I expect this game to be high quality that will go to the wire!! I’m tipping the Hawks, as they have a few more options at goal! Hawks by 13 points.

Fremantle off the back of one of their worst defeats in history take on Collingwood at Optus Stadium. You simply can’t tip a team that performed the way they did last week, so Collingwood by 32 points.

3 games on Sunday and we go the GABBA where the much improved Brisbane Lions take on the West Coast Eagles in what will be an interesting game. The Eagles have a top 2 position at stake which include 2 home finals and as one of the best away teams this year and given whats up for grabs I’m tipping the Eagles by 19 points.

Melbourne off a great win in Perth last week are home at the MCG to take on the GWS Giants. The Giants have turned their season around, however last weeks loss against the Swans is a result of the heavy injury toll they have experienced this year. I feel Melbourne’s performance last week will give them the momentum and confidence that will win this game and take them into September. Melbourne by 27 points.

Last home and away game of season 2018 and it’s St ‘Kilda taking the Kangaroo’s at Etihad Stadium. North Melbourne says farewell to another great player in Jarred Waite who will play his last game. I’m tipping the Kangaroo’s as they have shown, after most people had them finishing in the bottom 2 that they are a team that’s managing their rebuild positively with some fine young players coming through. North by 16 points.

Finally I would like to thank all the West Coast Poly’s customers for their support in 2018 and we look forward to seeing you all back next year.

Kind Regards
