Round 11 of the 2018 AFL Season

We start round 11 by celebrating the contribution of all Indigenous players past and present that have made Australian Rules Football the great game it is today.

When we talk about Rioli, Farmer, Cable, Betts, Hill, Krakouer, Winmar, Long, Goodes and so on, you appreciate how they have made our game so exciting to watch. I believe their legacy will inspire the next generation to continue making the game even greater!!

We start Indigenous round up in Sydney with the Swans taking on the Struggling Blues at the SCG. WE hope it’s a competitive game, however the Swans should win this game comfortably.

5 games on Super Saturday and we start with the Western Bulldog’s taking on the Melbourne Demon’s – the Demon’s have made a statement that they are going to be a team hard to beat in season 2018. I’m tipping Melbourne to win by 28 points.

Hawthorn, who have lost 2 in a row take on Port Adelaide fresh from a bye in Tasmania, I’ll tip Port to win as they have more scoring options up forward. Port by 16 points.

Gold Coast Sun’s take on Geelong up at Metricon Stadium. The Sun’s have lost their last 4 games after a promising start to the season still haven’t convinced me they can kick a winning score against Geelong. Cats by 21 points.

Essendon take on Richmond in the celebrated Dream Time Game at the MCG with an expected 90,000 people to witness a great contest. With the Bombers return to good form in the last 2 weeks I feel they will take it right up to the Tigers but I will tip the Tigers by 10 points as their defence is better than Essendon’s.

West Coast looking to win 10 games in a row take on St’ Kilda who have been better in the last 2 weeks. However, with Jake Carlisle out suspended I can’t see how the Saints can stop West Coast’s midfield and inform forwards. So, the Eagles by 40 plus points at their new home – the House of Pain!

3 games on Sunday and it’s North Melbourne one of the current form teams of the competition take on Brisbane at Etihad Stadium and the Kangaroo’s will be too strong for the young developing Lions. Roo’s by 26 points.

Collingwood take on the Fremantle Dockers at the MCG. The inform Pies are ready to launch a big assault on the Dockers who will be without Sandilands and Stephen Hill, their current away form is poor, so this could be a blow out. Collingwood by 50 plus points.

Last game of this great round and it’s the Adelaide Crows taking on the GWS Giants. Both teams had poor performances last week, however this game being in Adelaide I will have to tip the Crows to bounce back by 24 points.

Have a great long weekend as we here in Perth Celebrate WA Day.

Kind Regards

Jako.
