Round 20 - The race to the finish line is hotter than ever

Aug 2nd, 2017

We start with a Friday night block buster in Geelong and it’s the Cats taking on the Swans minus Patrick Dangerfield in one of the most contriversal decisions by the Match Review Panel this season. Anyhow the game must go on and I’m tipping the Swans to get the job done by 17 points.

5 games on Super Saturday starting with the GWS Giants taking on Melbourne in Canberra and the Giants get some handy players back so I’m tipping GWS to win and start to consolidate their position in the top 4.

Essendon take on the Blues at Etihad stadium and their is a lot to like about the Bombers this season and the coming years as they are being well coaches by my old mate Woosha and have a very potent forward line. Essendon to win by 20 plus points.
Brisbane take on the back to their best Western Bulldogs at the GABBA and with the Bulldogs still sitting out of the top 8 expect them to start to make their run home to the finals. Bulldogs to win this game comfortably.

North Melbourne impressive in their win last week against Melbourne after much critisism that they are tanking for draft picks showed great fighting spirit against a potential top 8 side and I’m going to stay with the Kangaroo’s as they have big Ben Brown kicking a bag of goals. Kanga’s by 15 points.

Fremantle most impressive last week against the Giants take on Gold Coast at home in what will be a close game against the unpredictable Suns so when it’s hard to tip stay with the home side so Fremantle to win by 12 points.

3 games on Sunday and we start with the Saints taking on the Eagles at Etihad stadium and West Coast’s form away again is an issue so expect St’ Kilda to take it right up to the Eagles who have concerns with a slow midfield. Saints by 20 points.
Richmond take on the inform Hawks at the MCG which will be a cracking game however the Hawks have no Hodge who is an inspiration for them. Tigers to get the job done by 14 points as they need to keep on winning if they are to stay in the top 4 race.

Last game of the round and what a cracker it’s the Adelaide Crows against the Port Adelaide Power in what will be a packed house and a fiery encounter as these 2 cross town rivals are in the race for a top 4 finish. Expect a brutal encounter and the Crows to get over the line by a goal.

Have a great weekend!
