Round 3: A Grand Final Replay at the MCG

Round 3 starts on a Thursday night in Adelaide where the Crows take on the impressive and undefeated Cats in what will be a great contest. I’m going to stay with the undefeated Geelong as their ball movement and high scoring is a real feature. Cats by 14 points.

Friday night footy returns to the MCG and who would’ve thought these 2 teams would be winless heading into R3. Melbourne struggling with form and fitness take on Essendon who are just struggling with form and spirit. I’ll tip Melbourne by 17 points and hope they drag themselves out of this form slump.

Carlton take on Sydney at MRVL Stadium. Whilst I’ve seen improvement in Carlton’s first 2 games of the year, I just think the Swans will be the tougher side. So Swans by 21 points.

GWS Giants take on Richmond up at Spotless Stadium in Sydney. I really like the way the Giants move the ball and as a home game they will be hard to beat, plus the Tigers have some injuries to key players. Giants by 28 points.

The impressive Brisbane Lions take on Port Adelaide up at the GABBA and I really like how this young team is coming together. So that, as well as Port suffering a few injuries I’m going to stay with the young Lions to win this game by 15 points.

It’s a Grand Final Replay at the MCG with Collingwood taking on the Eagles. With the Eagles strong win and Andrew Gaff back in the game it will be another great contest between these 2 teams of recent times. I’m tipping Collingwood’s midfield to be too strong for the Eagles and to supply plenty of opportunities to Collingwood’s dangerous forward line. Pies by 18 points.

3 games on Sunday to complete the round and we start with the impressive and undefeated Western Bulldogs who take on the Gold Coast Suns at MRVL Stadium. I can’t see the Bulldogs dropping this game. Bulldogs by 30 plus points.

Hawthorn take on North Melbourne at the MCG  and I can’t really make a case for the Kangaroo’s who have started the season disappointingly and have fallen away in their past 2 games. Hawks by 25 points.

Last game and it’s over to Perth at OPTUS Stadium where the Fremantle Dockers take on the undefeated St’ Kilda. The Dockers will want to turn around last weeks poor performance and play a lot better if their going to beat the spirited Saints. Freo to bounce back and win 13 points.

Have a great weekend and enjoy watching heaps of footy.

Regards
Jako.
