Is it Safe for Drinking?
Yes! It is made with materials that are 100% foodgrade complying with Australian Standards AS4020 and AS2070 which means it is approved for potable (drinking water). This is your assurance of a quality product.

What is it made from?
Polyethylene - a type of plastic material commonly used for piping and foodgrade containers. It is impact modified and strong and durable.

Does it crack or fade in the sun?
No! The water tank grade polyethylene used by West Coast Poly is specially formulated with UV protectors and pigments designed specifically for the harsh Australian conditions.

Where can I put the water tank?
Anywhere around the building as long as the inlet pipe reaches the water tank easily and it is on smooth, solid level ground. ie. Patio, lawn, pavers or purpose built stand.

Do I need a water tank stand?
No, the water tank is designed so that the main tap is located approximately 370mm above the base of the tank, so that jugs, glasses and even buckets can be easily filled. The tank does not need to be protected from moisture so the base acts like a tank stand and can be placed directly onto smooth level ground.

What comes with the water tank?
Standard fittings as shown on the range and dimensions page.

Can I connect my garden hose to the water tank?
Yes. The tap is a 3/4" (19mm) BSP right hand threaded brass fitting suitable for a hose coupling. The drain bung is a standard 1” (25mm) BSP female internal thread which is also suitable for a hose connection and can be replaced by any standard water pipe fitting.
